Bob Dylan Accepts His Nobel Prize for Literature

Bob Dylan has accepted the 2016 Nobel Prize for literature, the Swedish Academy said, adding that getting the prestigious award left him "speechless."
The academy's permanent secretary, Sara Danius, said Dylan himself contacted them and said "of course" he would accept the prize. Danius told Sweden's TT news agency that Dylan called her Tuesday evening and they spoke for about 15 minutes.
"The news about the Nobel Prize left me speechless," Dylan told Danius, according to a statement posted Friday (Oct. 28) on the academy's website. "I appreciate the honor so much."
It has not yet been decided whether Dylan will attend any Nobel events in Stockholm in December, Danius said.
In an interview with British newspaper The Telegraph posted Friday, Dylan was quoted as saying he "absolutely" wants to attend the Dec. 10 prize ceremony, "if it's at all possible."
Danius said the academy will do "all it can" to have a schedule suiting Dylan if he wants to come to Stockholm, according to TT.
The 75-year-old singer-songwriter was awarded the prize on Oct. 13 "for having created new poetic   expressions within the great American song tradition."
Dylan at first was silent after the announcement, and a member of the Swedish Academy called the silence "impolite and arrogant."
Dylan has accepted numerous awards over the years, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, for which he attended a White House ceremony in 2012. But he also has a history of taking his time acknowledging them.
In 2013, he became the first rock star voted into the elite American Academy of Arts and Letters, which made him an honorary member. According to executive director Virginia Dajani, the academy informed Dylan of the decision -- through his manager, Jeff Rosen -- in January of that year. Only in May 2013 did Dylan respond, through his manager.
If Dylan travels to Stockholm for the Nobel ceremony, it won't be the first time he receives an award from Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf. In 2000, Dylan collected the Polar Music Prize from him.

Millionaire discovers he married his own granddaughter and still stays with her

A 68-year-old Florida millionaire received a terrible shock after he found out that he had married his own biological granddaughter. The man found out 3 months after marrying his 24-year-old bride as they went through one of his old family photo albums, the Florida Sun Post reported.

The album included photos of the man’s children from his first marriage, from whom he had long been estranged.

His new bride recognised her husband’s oldest son who happens to be her own father.

“When I saw my father in that photo album, I just felt an overwhelming sense of despair,” she told the paper.

The man/husband/grandfather, whose second marriage ended in divorce in 2009 had won several million dollars in a lottery jackpot two years later.

The woman/granddaughter, who had become estranged from her parents after she got pregnant as a teenager, was working as an exotic dancer in Jacksonville when she met her husband/grandfather met through a dating website.
“I just felt strange when I saw her photos on the site,” the man said. “It was like a sense of déjà vu, but at the time I couldn’t figure out why she seemed so familiar.”
After discovering their epic mistake, the couple insisted, however, that they have no plans to divorce.

The husband/Grandfather said:
“If we’d never found out, we would’ve lived our lives happily together, and us being related shouldn’t change that.”
The man added:
“ I’ve already had two failed marriages, and I’m determined not to have a third.”
The wife/granddaughter added:
“Every couple is different and special in their own ways. I feel our bond is so strong that even something like this is not enough to make us give up.”
The couple haven't been named yet.

Chris Brown is done hosting frat house parties ... blaming his male friends and thirsty chicks for his recent arrest. Our Chris sources tell us he's now enforcing a strict guest policy at his Calabasas mansion -- and letting everyone in his crew know he's as serious as death ... no more randoms allowed. We told he's pulling back on parties for starters, but there's this problem with his 2 roommates/best friends.
They now have to submit a guest list to Chris IN WRITING, and they must describe who they are with sufficient details so he can decide whether he wants them in his home. We're told he also is imposing another strict policy ... guests are prohibited from bringing drugs or alcohol. The only booze and drugs allowed are his.
