Miley Cyrus Talks Coming Out as Pansexual: "I Didn't Understand My Own Gender and My Own Sexuality"

Miley Cyrus is an open book.
   The Voice coach has been named one of Variety's Power of Women cover stars, and in her wide-ranging interview Miley discusses her dedication to the LGBTQ community and her sexuality. Now a passionate activist, Miley tells the magazine that her identity struggles led her to become such a staple in the community.
"My whole life, I didn't understand my own gender and my own sexuality. I always hated the word 'bisexual,' because that's even putting me in a box. I don't ever think about someone being a boy or someone being a girl," she tells Variety. "Also, my nipple pasties and s--t never felt sexualized to me. My eyes started opening in the fifth or sixth grade. My first relationship in my life was with a chick. I grew up in a very religious Southern family."

    Despite her confusion and religious upbringing, Miley knew that she would figure it all out. "The universe has always given me the power to know I'll be OK," she adds. "Even at that time, when my parents didn't understand, I just felt that one day they are going to understand."
    Now engaged to Liam Hemsworth, Miley explains she didn't really understand her identity until she met other people who thought the way she did.
   "I went to the LGBTQ center here in L.A., and I started hearing these stories. I saw one human in particular who didn't identify as male or female. Looking at them, they were both: beautiful and sexy and tough but vulnerable and feminine but masculine. And I related to that person more than I related to anyone in my life," Miley explains.

   "Even though I may seem very different, people may not see me as neutral as I feel. But I feel very neutral. I think that was the first gender-neutral person I'd ever met. Once I understood my gender more, which was unassigned, then I understood my sexuality more. I was like, 'Oh—that's why I don't feel straight and I don't feel gay. It's because I'm not.'"
   After struggling to find her voice for so long, Miley admits she feels stronger now than ever because she has a mission. "My empowerment comes from feeling like I have a purpose now. On my tombstone, I didn't want the 'Wrecking Ball' lyrics. I wanted it to be something greater. I'm the only f--king Disney star who would say I'm pro lesbian and gay, before it was OK to say that," she says. 

   It's safe to say that Miley is anything but judgmental. The star is open to anything and anyone, even if there's controversy surrounding a figure with whom she works. Having worked with Woody Allen for Amazon's Crisis in Six Scenes, Miley says she judges a person by what she personally experiences.
 "I live a similar life to Woody—I live a public life. Until I know someone and I know their story, I never really judge anyone. That's kind of how I went into it," she explains to Variety. "From the way I saw him with his family, I never saw him be anything but an incredible person and a really great dad. People might slam me for saying that. I'm sure it was a hard time for that family. My family has been through hard things, and I think everyone's suffering is different."

Millionaire discovers he married his own granddaughter and still stays with her

A 68-year-old Florida millionaire received a terrible shock after he found out that he had married his own biological granddaughter. The man found out 3 months after marrying his 24-year-old bride as they went through one of his old family photo albums, the Florida Sun Post reported.

The album included photos of the man’s children from his first marriage, from whom he had long been estranged.

His new bride recognised her husband’s oldest son who happens to be her own father.

“When I saw my father in that photo album, I just felt an overwhelming sense of despair,” she told the paper.

The man/husband/grandfather, whose second marriage ended in divorce in 2009 had won several million dollars in a lottery jackpot two years later.

The woman/granddaughter, who had become estranged from her parents after she got pregnant as a teenager, was working as an exotic dancer in Jacksonville when she met her husband/grandfather met through a dating website.

“I just felt strange when I saw her photos on the site,” the man said. “It was like a sense of déjà vu, but at the time I couldn’t figure out why she seemed so familiar.”

After discovering their epic mistake, the couple insisted, however, that they have no plans to divorce.

The husband/Grandfather said:

“If we’d never found out, we would’ve lived our lives happily together, and us being related shouldn’t change that.”

The man added:

“ I’ve already had two failed marriages, and I’m determined not to have a third.”

The wife/granddaughter added:

“Every couple is different and special in their own ways. I feel our bond is so strong that even something like this is not enough to make us give up.”

Army hands over 348 cleared Boko Haram suspects to Shettima for rehabilitation and reintegration (photos)

Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima on Saturday, October 1st, received 348 Boko Haram suspects who were cleared by the 7th Division of the Nigerian Army for onward rehabilitation and reintegration with their families.

 

The governor congratulated the people of the state and the nation for its 56th Independence Anniversary and thanked for peace and harmony.

 

"In this auspicious day of our 56th independence Anniversary of our nation, it is my singular honor and privilege to congratulate the good people of Borno and thank the God Almighty for giving us this opportunity to celebrate this occasion in peace and harmony," said Shettima. 

"Two years ago, nobody will have thought we can gather in an atmosphere of tranquility, peace and serenity of mind for us to celebrate this occasion. We want to register our profound gratitude to the Nigerian Army and all other security agencies that played active roles in ensuring of restoration of peace in our state. It is gratifying to note that the last back shade of the insurgents have been finally liberated and we want to thank the Nigerian Army for handing over 348 people to us. It is noteworthy that this is fifth time the Nigerian Army is releasing such people to us. This bears testimony to the fact that the Nigerian Army sticktly adheres to rule of law, equity, justice and fairness. 

"Be rest assured that these released suspect will be adequately rehabilitated and resettled with their families and for the younger one who are under the ages of 5-10, we should immediately explore a means of taking them to our rehabilitation facility. Once again I will like to congratulate all Nigerians on our 56th independencenAnniversary and on behalf of all people of Borno state I wish to thank all security agencies in the state for the prominent roles they have played in clearing scourge of insurgents," Shettima further stated.

Earlier in his welcome speech, the acting GOC of the 7th Division Brig. Gen. Victor Ezugwu said the overall goal of the releasing is for the sake of doing to innocent Nigerian.

"This event is the fifth of such which the 7 Division has conducted since assumption of this command and the overall goal is that the just and innocent citizens of Nigeria do not suffer injustice," said Ezugwu. 

"There are some other suspects who are not released today because they committed crimes that are civil in nature and as such, would be handed over to the Nigeria Police and Department of State Services for further action. Amongst them are also 6 foreigners who illegally entered Nigeria. They consist of 4 Cameroonians, one Chadian and one Jamaican and would be handed over to the Nigerian Immigration Service for deportation.  

"I wish to use this opportunity to thank the Borno state government under the able and dynamic leadership of Hon. Kashim Shettima for giving political impetus to activities of the military and other security agencies in the state," Ezugwu said.

When a politician ends almost every sentence with “believe me”... don’t! He’s probably lying.

According to PolitiFact, Donald Trump’s statements are rated “false,” “mostly false,” and “pants on fire” 71 percent of the time. In other words, the majority of the time that Trump speaks, he is not telling the truth.

But do the facts matter to Donald Trump or many in the media who are too entertained to correct his lies? We saw how Matt Lauer didn’t challenge him. Chris Wallace, the Fox News personality who is hosting one of the debates, has gone on record saying that facts are not relevant to him. This should be profoundly unacceptable to the American people. Our country and its stability is on the line. Facts do matter!

When Trump throws around words like “crooked,” he’s really describing himself and he doesn’t even know it. In psychological terms, it’s called “the disowned self.” Psychiatrists have explained how a person who refuses to recognize his own flaws will often project them onto other people.

As an article in The Washington Post recently said, “Trump’s history of corruption is mind-boggling.” This is a man who has bankrupted companies, reneged on bank loans, and cheated small business owners. For someone who claims to be a champion of the people, his m.o. is actually to stiff the little guy. Trump is notorious for refusing to pay painters, carpenters, plumbers and all sorts of vendors the money he owes them. The contracts he signed mean nothing to him. After the work is done, he’ll offer pennies on the dollar and say, If you don’t like it, sue me!... knowing full well that these mom-and-pop businesses don’t have the resources to take him to court. Even so, he’s been sued nearly 1,500 times over the last 30 years.

To those supporters who believe he’s a rich businessman and think he’s going to make them rich... get the facts straight. Investors in his failed casino ventures lost 90 percent of their money between 1995-2005. When the going gets tough, Trump vanishes. He eventually filed for bankruptcy, leaving others holding the bag.

And this man has the nerve to insult Hillary, who has always cared about other people? From the time she was in college, she’s been working to improve the lives of others... women, children, minorities.
What has Donald Trump ever done to serve others?

He only cares about promoting himself.
While Trump was being investigated and then sued by the Department of Justice for refusing to rent apartments to black and Hispanic people... Hillary was in Texas helping to register black and Hispanic voters.
While Donald had to be shamed into coming up with the contribution he promised to veterans... Hillary actually got legislation passed when she was in the Senate to expand their health care and other benefits.

While Donald has vowed to appoint Supreme Court justices who will overturn the ruling on marriage equality, Hillary declared that “gay rights are human rights” when she was Secretary of State.
Trump is both spreading and reflecting bigotry and hatred. He said a judge was not capable of doing his job because of his Mexican heritage.

One in five of his supporters believe slavery should never have been abolished and 61 percent believe President Obama wasn’t born in the United States. For five years, Trump has wasted our time with his crackpot birther conspiracy theory.  Only now he has suddenly had a conversion, but he doesn’t even have the decency to apologize. And he has the audacity to say Hillary started it all... another outrageous lie. He sounds like a child on the playground trying to escape punishment.

He’s basically a bully, but like all bullies, he’s a coward at heart. He skipped out on a debate because he didn’t like the moderator. He can’t handle the tough questions. He’s so thin-skinned that as soon as anyone challenges him, he sues them.

Hillary has been attacked right and left for decades and is still standing.

She has negotiated with leaders around the world to keep us safe from nuclear threat because it would destroy the planet... while he shockingly said, “If we have nuclear weapons, why can’t we use them?”
And he has the nerve to call her “trigger-happy”? “Unstable”?

His ignorance is astounding.

So how come Hillary is not getting credit for all her accomplishments? It goes back to something I’ve felt for many years...strong women, powerful women have always been suspect.

Some men are challenged by strong women... afraid of them... and some women are jealous of them.
Strong women have too many opinions for some people... they prefer women who are quiet. They want us to speak less and smile more. After Hillary answered questions on national security, Reince Priebus complained that she didn’t smile enough. Well, guess what... there was nothing to smile about. As she said, this is serious business.

And Trump says Hillary doesn’t look presidential? What does that mean... coming from a guy who looks like a raccoon in a tanning bed... with a flying squirrel on his head? That’s what a president is supposed to look like? A wrestler who dies his hair blonde?

Republicans play dirty and their smear tactics unfortunately work. As they say, “If you repeat a lie long enough and loud enough, people will believe it.” And that’s what’s happening and it’s terrifying.
We can’t allow ourselves to be swiftboated again. We can’t let that happen to Hillary... a woman who has the temperament and the experience to be president... unlike Donald Trump, whose idea of foreign policy was bringing the Miss Universe pageant to Russia. How can you support a man who says, “Women... you have to treat them like sh—“ and believes such hateful things about 51 percent of the American population?

These views are deplorable. Hillary Clinton was right to denounce Trump’s racism, sexism and xenophobia.

And then he has the nerve to say he’s going to make America great again??

Here are some more facts. The New York Times just reported that household incomes rose for American families by 5.2 percent last year, according to figures from the Census Bureau... the biggest one-year increase since 1967! Household incomes are now higher than when President Obama entered office. The stock market is above 18,000, which means it has more than doubled since Obama came into office.

If we want the country to continue to improve, we must continue President Obama’s incredible policy work, successful despite the worst opposition we’ve ever seen in Congress, and vote for Hillary Clinton — and down the ballot for Democratic senators and congresspersons who will not be negative and obstructionist. Instead, they will work with her to get legislation passed on gun control and campaign finance reform. My heart sinks when I read that billions of dollars have already been spent during this Presidential election cycle. Just think what that kind of money could have done for medical research... our schools... our infrastructure.

We cannot allow America to fall into the hands of a narcissist who has shown no regard for anyone but himself... a bigoted and misogynist reality-TV character with no political experience and no qualms about lying loudly and often.

There is NO equivalency between these two candidates. Only Hillary Clinton has the skills, the knowledge, the temperament and the compassion to lead this nation.

Madam cash has girls that does her dirty job and she pays them. I saw a woman I know and she was looking so haggard, I enquired and learnt, that two months ago, her brother's son that's staying with her was stolen, on their street. I got home and was trying to caution a neighbor that has kids just like me and the pix above was shown to me. So many questions kept popping into my head.
Instead of this madam Cash, stealing people's kids why didn't she sell hers., or better still, gather girls that born and want to sell. Why put a fellow mother like her into an emotional torture. Apple Says Jet Black iPhone 7 Could Scratch and Might Need a Case

At Apple’s press event on Sept. 7, the company unveiled a new Jet Black iPhone 7. But it might have a design consideration customers should know about before buying.

After Apple’s AAPL event on Wednesday, it published a dedicated iPhone 7 page showing all five color versions customers can choose when the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are available for pre-order on Friday. On its Jet Black model listing, Apple includes a footnote that might give some pause.

“The high-gloss finish of the Jet Black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodization and polishing process,” Apple writes. “Its surface is equally as hard as other anodized Apple products; however, its high shine may show fine micro-abrasions with use.”

In other words, the iPhone 7 that offers the most enhanced design over its predecessors--and arguably the most attractive look--is subject to scratches and other problems that could affect its finish. And in order to address that, Apple went so far as to suggest customers consider a case.

“If you are concerned about this, we suggest you use one of the many cases available to protect your iPhone,” Apple writes.

The Jet Black iPhone was one of the focal points in Apple’s iPhone 7 presentation on Wednesday. The company shared videos showcasing the device and talk about the time and effort it takes to deliver its polished design. On its website, Apple displays the iPhone 7’s Jet Black version first.

Apple’s revelation, however, could give some customers who are looking to get their hands on the updated design some pause. While it’s undoubtedly an attractive product, over time, its attraction might give way to some concerns about its ability to hold up against too much use. If such concerns are present, customers will either need to decide to opt for another model that doesn’t come with the same manufacturing and polishing process and therefore doesn’t make it as likely to suffer “micro-abrasions,” or opt for a case.

The trouble with a case is that it shrouds the iPhone’s design. In addition to announcing component improvements on Wednesday, Apple spent considerable time talking about its design achievements. In nearly all of the cases currently on the market or launching soon for iPhone 7 models, the smartphone is fully encased and its design is covered by the case’s design. The Jet Black’s beauty is gone once a case is slapped on.

For some would-be iPhone customers, Apple’s sales pitch on the Jet Black version during its event was enough to make them want it. But whether the warning on Apple’s site--which wasn’t discussed during the event--will change users’ minds remains to be seen.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available for pre-order starting on Friday. They’ll launch to Apple and carrier stores, as well as third-party retailers, on Sept. 16.
