The album included photos of the man’s children from his first marriage, from whom he had long been estranged.
His new bride recognised her husband’s oldest son who happens to be her own father.
“When I saw my father in that photo album, I just felt an overwhelming sense of despair,” she told the paper.
The man/husband/grandfather, whose second marriage ended in divorce in 2009 had won several million dollars in a lottery jackpot two years later.
The woman/granddaughter, who had become estranged from her parents after she got pregnant as a teenager, was working as an exotic dancer in Jacksonville when she met her husband/grandfather met through a dating website.
“I just felt strange when I saw her photos on the site,” the man said. “It was like a sense of déjà vu, but at the time I couldn’t figure out why she seemed so familiar.”After discovering their epic mistake, the couple insisted, however, that they have no plans to divorce.
The husband/Grandfather said:
“If we’d never found out, we would’ve lived our lives happily together, and us being related shouldn’t change that.”The man added:
“ I’ve already had two failed marriages, and I’m determined not to have a third.”The wife/granddaughter added:
“Every couple is different and special in their own ways. I feel our bond is so strong that even something like this is not enough to make us give up.”The couple haven't been named yet.
