Kim Kardashian wears this lingerie out in public
While Kim Kardashian’s jewelry robbery was the buzz of Paris fashion
week, she grabbed the spotlight in NYC last month with her other
treasures—walking around town with nothing on top but a sheer blue La
Perla bra and an open jean jacket.
The lingerie brand’s new creative director, Julia Haart, was also busting out—with pride.
“We’re very honored and pleased about that,” she tells Threads. “I’m glad that women are taking fashion into their own hands and playing with it and enjoying it. I am woman, hear me roar!”
Indeed, it seems everyone from Karlie Kloss to Kendall Jenner is roaring—and disrobing—this season, hitting the streets in racy unmentionables.
To master the lingerie trend like a pro, Haart recommends pairing bras with high-waisted pants or shorts, “so it’s almost like a crop top.” But she has a stern rule against donning old skivvies. “When something has been against your skin for two years, it’s time to say goodbye,” she says.
While Haart is new to La Perla, she already knows who she’s dying to dress (or undress, to be more precise): Amy Schumer.
“She’s one of the most sensual, sexy women on Earth,” says Haart. “I would make her a fabulous romper or a cami lingerie top with high shorts to show off her fabulous curves.”

Militia members arrested in alleged mosque attack plot
Three right-wing militia members have been arrested for allegedly
planning attacks at a mosque and a housing complex in Kansas, CBS News
has learned.
The attack would have specifically targeted Somali refugees, a source told CBS News.
The charges were announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office at a news conference Friday in Wichita.
Federal prosecutors allege the three men -- identified as Curtis Allen, Patrick Stein and Gavin Wright -- are members of a group calling itself the Kansas Security Force.
Acting U.S. Attorney Tom Beall
says the three conspired to detonate a bomb at an apartment complex with
about 120 residents. The attack was planned for Nov. 9, the day after
Election Day, authorities said.
They were arrested Friday after an eight-month FBI investigation.
Garden City is home to a Tyson Foods beef slaughterhouse that has drawn a diverse immigrant population to the area.
The case is the latest involving militia groups in the state.
CBS Wichita affiliate KWCH-TV reports that on Tuesday the FBI assisted the police department in Liberal, Kansas, with an incident involving multiple road closures. Liberal is about 215 miles southwest of Wichita.
It’s unclear whether the incident is connected to the arrests.

Nigeria's President Buhari: My wife belongs in kitchen
On a visit to Germany, he said: "I don't know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room."
Mr Buhari was standing next to Chancellor Angela Merkel, who seemed to glare at him.
Aisha Buhari had said she might not back her husband at the next election unless he got a grip on his government.
Responding to questions by reporters, Mr Buhari said that having run for president three times and having succeeded at the fourth attempt, he could "claim superior knowledge over her".
In an interview with the BBC's Hausa language service, Mrs Buhari, a businesswoman and activist, suggested her husband's government had been hijacked by only a "few people", who were behind presidential appointments.
"The president does not know 45 out of 50 of the people he appointed and I don't know them either, despite being his wife of 27 years," she said.
Her decision to go public with her concerns will shock many people, but it shows the level of discontent with the president's leadership, says the BBC's Naziru Mikailu in the capital, Abuja.
The president's remarks on the kitchen and "the other room" have been met with outrage on social media.
There was immediate criticism for the president's thoughts on the role of women.
Some are wondering what Mr Buhari meant by "the other room", others have been posting pictures of a variety of bedrooms, and the hashtag #TheOtherRoom is trending in Nigeria.
Aisha Buhari campaigned vigorously for her husband in last year's election in Nigeria, organising town hall meetings with women's groups and youth organisations.
However, she kept a low profile at the start of the administration. She was restricted to her work on the empowerment of women and helping victims of the Boko Haram conflict in the north-east of the country where she is from.
This is one reason why this damning interview has caught the attention of many Nigerians.
It is a significant blow for Mr Buhari, who has a reputation for being a tough, no-nonsense president.
Mrs Buhari's comments also bolster accusations that his government has been hijacked by a small group of individuals.
The comments could also mark a turning point for a government that has clearly struggled to deal with economic recession and is facing growing disquiet within the ruling party.
Mr Buhari was elected last year with a promise to tackle corruption and nepotism in government.
The Nigerian economy, battered by low global oil prices and a currency devaluation, officially entered recession in August for the first time in a decade.
Oil sales account for 70% of government income.
The president famously remarked at his inauguration that he "belongs to nobody and belongs to everybody".

Black Monday: Women in Poland go on strike against abortion ban

Women in Poland have gone on strike in protest against proposals for a total ban on abortion.
Women who oppose the ban are staying away from work and school and refusing to do domestic chores, in a protest inspired by a women's strike in Iceland in 1975.
Anti-abortion protests are being held around the country too.
Women took to the streets of the capital city, Warsaw, in a pro-choice march on what they are calling "Black Monday".
It is unclear how many women are taking part in the action and how widespread it will be beyond big cities.
If the law went through, which has cleared one parliamentary hurdle so far, went through it would make Poland's abortion laws as restrictive as those in two other countries in Europe: Malta and the Holy See.
Women found to have had abortions would be punished with a five-year prison term. Doctors found to have assisted in an abortion would also be liable for jail time.
Critics say the law could mean women who have a miscarriage are also investigated, on suspicion of having had the pregnancy terminated deliberately. At early stages of pregnancy, miscarriages and abortions have indistinguishable symptoms.
A separate bill seeks to curb in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), allowing only one embryo to be fertilised at any one time, and banning the practice of freezing embryos.

The city hall in Czestochowa in southern Poland allowed female staff to take the day off on Monday, while several businesses have closed for the protests.
But anti-abortion activists are planning counter-protests and the Polish Bishops' Conference asked Catholics to pray for "the conscience and the light of the Holy Spirit on all Poles who protect human life from conception to natural death".
While pro-choice activists marched in black and tweeted pictures of themselves wearing black, anti-abortion activists choice white for the colour of their counter-protests.
'If we agree that a mother can even kill her own child, how can we tell other people that they shouldn't kill each other?' wrote one woman.
One Polish pro-choice activist tweeted "gosh, how lovely this is" and included images of support messages from around the world.
Abortion is already mostly banned in Poland.
The exceptions are:
- where the woman's life is in danger
- where there is a risk of serious and irreversible damage to the foetus
- where the pregnancy is as a result of rape or incest - this must be confirmed by a prosecutor
As a result, even by conservative estimates there are far more illegal abortions than legal ones in Poland - between 10,000 and 150,000, compared to about 1,000 or 2,000 legal terminations.

Two Nigerian men arrested in India
Two
Nigerian men were arrested on Friday, September 30th by a joint team of
Delhi and Goa Police for cheating several people after befriending them
on social networking sites.
The suspects identified as Chukwuma Collins, 35, and Nicodemus Obinn, 27, used to befriend people on Facebook and then ask for money to send "necessary items" to their family members in UK.
The suspects identified as Chukwuma Collins, 35, and Nicodemus Obinn, 27, used to befriend people on Facebook and then ask for money to send "necessary items" to their family members in UK.
Police said that the two used to cook up stories about the poor conditions of their family members living in western countries and ask the victims to help them with money. After receiving the money they broke all contact with the victims. Both have been involved in several cases of fraud and an FIR was registered against them in Goa cyber crime cell.
Bridget Fernandes Rai, a victim made a complaint to Goa Police, claiming to have been cheated of around Rs 8 lakh by the duo. She said that she had befriended Collins on Facebook and after a few days of chatting he started calling her.
Rai told the police that Collins started referring to her as his
sister and asked for Rs 8 lakh to transfer some money and jewellery
through a courier to his relatives. He claimed that the courier was
stuck in legal processes at the customs department in Goa and he needed to get it delivered quickly as his wife had expired.
Rai
agreed to transfer the money to his account. As soon as the money was
transferred, Collins disappeared. After some time, Bridget received a
call from the custom department, which raised questions regarding the
parcel she had sent, and realised that she was duped.
Collins and Obinn confessed to their crime and disclosed that they had
cheated several others in a similar way. Three laptops, seven data cards, 36
SIM cards and 26 mobile phones, three USB pen drives, were recovered from the duo.
During interrogation, the duo claimed that they had arrived in India five years ago for business and then started cheating people using different techniques. Both accused were produced in a Dwarka court and taken on a transit remand by Goa Polic.

T.I. Protests Police Brutality in 'Black Man' Video With Quavo, Meek Mill & Rara: Watch
After releasing his politically charged Us or Else EP on Friday (Sept. 23), T.I. continues to rally for justice with the black-and-white visual for "Black Man" featuring Migos' Quavo, Rara and Meek Mill.
"Black man, drop top/ There go the cops," sings Quavo on the hook before asking, "Is it because of my people?/ Is it because of my sneakers?/ Is it because of my jersey?/ It is because that I'm perfect?"
Each rapper shares their personal experiences and emotions tied to the numerous cases of police brutality happening across America. As Quavo recalls getting pulled over, Rara name-drops Mike Brown whose life was taken after a police shooting in Ferguson, Missouri, and Meek Mill offers, "We seen too many brothers get put in caskets."
https://twitter.com/Tip/status/779409997658632192/photo/1
Tip saves his verse for last, putting his hands up and rhyming, "Police see I got my hands up/ Still wanna kill me, they don't understand us/ They be looking for a reason just to shoot me/ And wanna do me how they do us in the movies." He also shared the video on his Twitter account, adding the hashtag "#TerenceCrutcher," paying tribute to the unarmed Black man who was fatally shot by a police officer in Tulsa, Oklahoma, earlier this week.

Those who stole from Nigeria recruited militants in the Niger Delta to fight us- Pres Buhari says
President Buhari today said those who stole Nigeria dry are angry with
his government and so have recruited the services of militants in the
Niger Delta to fight his government. He said this while addressing a
group of Nigerians professionals residing in the US.

"We got into trouble as a country, because we did not save for the rainy day. For example, between 1999 and 2015, when we produced an average of 2.1 million barrels of oil per day, and oil prices stood at an average of $100 per barrel, we did not save, neither did we develop infrastructure. Suddenly, when we came in 2015, oil prices fell to about 30 dollars per barrel. I asked; where are the savings? There were none.On Boko Haram, he said
Where are the railways? The roads? Power? None. I further asked; what did we do with billions of dollars that we made over the years? They said we bought food. Food with billions of dollars? I did not believe, and still do not believe. In most parts of Nigeria, we eat what we grow. People in the South eat tubers, those in the North eat grains, which they plant, and those constitute over 60 per cent of what we eat. So, where did the billions of dollars go? We did a lot of damage to ourselves by not developing infrastructure when we had the money. Talking of our military, they earned respect serving in places like Burma, Zaire, Sudan, Liberia, Sierra-Leone, and then, suddenly, that same military could no longer secure 14 out of 774 local governments in the country. Insurgents had seized them, calling them some sort of caliphate, and planting their flags there; till we came, and scattered them. We raised the morale of our military, changed the leadership, re-equipped and retrained them; USA, Britain, and some other countries helped us, and today, the pride of our military is restored"he said
"They ran riot, killing innocent people in churches, mosques, markets, schools, motor parks, and so on. And they would then shout Allahu Akbar. But if they truly knew Allah, they would not do such evil. Neither Islam, nor any other religion I know of, advocates hurting the innocent. But they shed innocent blood, killed people in their thousands. Now, we have dealt with that insurgency, and subverted their recruitment base. Those who stole Nigeria dry are not happy. They recruited the militants against us in the Niger Delta, and began to sabotage oil infrastructure. We lose millions of barrels per day, at a time when every dollar we can earn, counts. It is a disgrace that a minimum of 27 states, out of 36 that we have in Nigeria, can't pay salaries. But I prayed so hard for God to make me President. I ran in 2003, 2007, 2011, and in 2015, He did. And see what I met on ground. But I can't complain, since I prayed for the job. In the military, I rose from 2nd Lieutenant to Major-General. I was military governor in 1975 over a state that is now six states. I was head of state, got detained for three years, and headed the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), which had N53 billion of that time in Nigerian banks. God has been very good to me, so I can't complain. If I feel hurt by anybody, I ask God to help me forgive. He has done so much for me. After 16 years of a different party in government, no party will come and have things easy. It's human. We need quality hands to run Nigeria, and we will utilize them. I will like to welcome you home when it's time. But I'll like you to be ready."he said.

N5bn reportedly found in account of an Army General's daughter
EFCC operatives have reportedly found N5 billion lodged in an account
operated by the daughter of an Army General. According to an official in
the antigraft agency who spoke on condition of anonymity to The Sun, investigations so far carried out into the account, showed that N10 million was sometimes deposited 5 to 6 times within a day.
The source stated that the Army general's daughter is under 30 and recently got married. The account officer, a lady who manages the account was subsequently invited by the EFCC. She gave useful information which led to the invitation of the Army General’s daughter towards the last week of August. The source stated that she pleaded for more time to enable her attend to her infant child.
The young nursing mother eventually turned up with her mother, baby, husband and lawyer about two weeks ago. And for two days, she faced interrogation though she was not detained because she is a nursing mother. “Details of the account show that cash deposits of about N10 million were consistently paid into the account sometimes five or six times a day. The money so far deposited into that account and another in London should well be over N5 billion”, the source said.
Investigators also discovered that even though the lady was still a student in the United Kingdom, hundreds of thousands of Pound Sterling were wired into the bank account of a London based firm’s bank account for her. The firm, Carrington Whyte Consulting with Flat 4, Grove End Gardens 33 Grove End Road NW8 9LL London, as its address, was curiously registered around June 2014 and shortly after, the funds began to hit its bank account from Nigeria in torrents.
Though the Army General’s daughter is currently on administrative bail, she is however, expected to report back for further interrogation next week. “We had to study her last statements, juxtapose them with our findings and draw up fresh questions for her and with which we confront her next week”, the source explained.

Niger Delta Avengers end ceasefire, bomb oil pipeline in Bonny
Militant group, Niger Delta Avengers, have ended their ceasefire as the
group attacked the Bonny 48 inches crude oil Export Line yesterday
evening at about 8.40pm. The group announced the new attack on its
website. Read the statement below
On the 23rd September 2016, our strike team at 20:40PM hours time has
brought down oil productions activities at the Bonny 48 inches crude oil
Export Line.
This action is a signature to the over dramatization of the so-called dialogue and negotiation process on the side of President Muhammadu Buhari and his government. Since, the cessation of hostilities and the commitment of the PAN Niger Delta Elders and stakeholders team, the Nigerian government and her agents are turning the expectations of the Niger Delta to shameful scenes obtainable in Nollywood acts and as well intimidations, blackmails and continuous profiling of Niger Delta sons and daughters.
This is only a wake up call; we may not have other way to say it better. We are still in favour of the dialogue and negotiations but we are warning against " the peace of our time!
We want the peace with honour”. We will resist all actions undermining the ceasefire from side of the government and it security agents/ agencies. The world is watching, time is running against the Nigerian state; while we were promised that the concerns of Niger Delta will be addresses once a truce is declared, the activities of the government and her agents are not assuring enough, there has been no progress and no breakthrough.
We cannot be continuously fooled, the government cannot justify the indiscriminate targeting of Niger Delta youths while glorifying on these victimization of law abiding citizens of the region.

Judge Rules Nick Gordon 'Legally Responsible' in Bobbi Kristina Brown's Death, Lawyer Says
Just over a year after Bobbi Kristina Brown died at the age of 22, her boyfriend Nick Gordon has been found civilly liable in her death, reported 11 Alive.
Gordon failed to appear – for the second time – in Atlanta, Georgia, court Friday morning in the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Bobbi Kristina's estate last year, Fulton County Superior Court Judge T. Jackson Bedford said.
Because Gordon has failed to appear twice, the judge said anything alleged by the plaintiff is admitted through omission.
The judge will now determine the amount of damages to be awarded to Bobbi Kristina's estate. The suit asked for $50,000,000.
"In court today, we finally finished a long journey for justice for Bobbi Kristina Brown," Bobbi Kristina's attorney R. David Ware told 11 Alive outside of court. "The court agrees with us, by striking Mr. Gordon's answer that he is legally responsible for her death. The only thing left to prove is the value of her life. We intend to do that."
In a statement to PEOPLE, the Brown family said, "We are praising God. This has been a long time coming. But all the judgments in the world won't bring Krissy back."
"We miss her every single day," the statement continued. "Even when there's justice, it's not comfort. She was gone too soon, and we all have to live with that. I hope Nick lives with it every day for the rest of his life, because we sure are."
Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her home on Jan. 31, 2015. After six months of medically induced comas and a hospice stay, the rising star passed away on July 26.
Gordon has never been criminally charged in Brown's death, but a source in the Fulton County District Attorney's office tells PEOPLE that the criminal investigation is "still ongoing."
"This won't change anything in the criminal case. Generally speaking, it tends to the other way around: a criminal conviction is used in a civil case," the source explains. "Obviously, if he had taken the stand in a civil case, we could have used what he said. But that's not what happened here. The case is still ongoing, but there are no new updates at this time."
Brown's court-appointed conservator alleged that "Ms. Brown died due to a violent altercation with Defendant (Gordon) after which he placed her in a bathtub, unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture," according to legal documents related to the suit, which were obtained by local Atlanta affiliate WSB-TV.
According to the complaint – which was co-signed by Bobby – Gordon and Bobbi Kristina "became embroiled in a large argument" the night of the January incident, before he allegedly gave her a "toxic cocktail" that rendered her unconscious. Bobbi Kristina's conservator further claims that Gordon then put Bobbi Kristina face down in a tub of cold water.
In response to the civil suit, Gordon's former attorney Jose Baez initially said, "We have repeatedly said that Nick Gordon is innocent of any wrongdoing. He has not been charged with any crime. Enough is enough; let's end this baseless speculation."
Despite Gordon's adamance that he wasn't involved, Bobby said during a recent 20/20 interview, "The same thing that happened to my daughter is what happened to Whitney."
He charged, "There's only one person that was around both occasions."

Photos of notorious child trafficker 'Madam Cash' and some of the resued abducted children in Delta State

Abigail Nwakama also known as Madam Cash and a popular pastor Chinedu Strongman (also pictured) were arrested last weekend for operating a kidnapping ring.
According to Ada Ogbonna who shared the photos on Facebook along with unsavory facts about the mother of four:
"Look at the faces of child kidnappers in asaba, Delta state. The lady, madam Abigail, , madam cash, is a mother of four runs a drinking parlor, but child trafficking pays her more. The man is a pastor and madam cash works for him.
Madam cash has girls that does her dirty job and she pays them. I saw a woman I know and she was looking so haggard, I enquired and learnt, that two months ago, her brother's son that's staying with her was stolen, on their street. I got home and was trying to caution a neighbor that has kids just like me and the pix above was shown to me. So many questions kept popping into my head.
Instead of this madam Cash, stealing people's kids why didn't she sell hers., or better still, gather girls that born and want to sell. Why put a fellow mother like her into an emotional torture. The worst part is, the pastor, said that out of the 13 kids they brought that 3 have died. The little kids in the other pix are all stolen children. Does anything whatsoever justify, this message wickedness. I feel so sad really. May God protect our young ones from evil. Bikonu ignore my typo error"
Trump mum while campaign says he believes Obama born in US
WASHINGTON — Donald Trump himself won't say it, but his campaign is now declaring that the Republican presidential candidate believes now that President Barack Obama was born in the United States. And his campaign is cheering Trump for bringing an end to an "ugly incident" that it blames, without evidence, on Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton.
For many years, Trump was the most prominent proponent of the "birther" movement, which claimed Obama was born outside the U.S. and thus ineligible to be president — despite the fact that he was born in Hawaii. As recently as Thursday, Trump would not acknowledge Obama's birthplace, declining to address the matter when asked by The Washington Post.
"I'll answer that question at the right time," Trump told the paper. "I just don't want to answer it yet."
want to answer it yet."
Clinton seized on Trump's refusal during a speech Thursday night before the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
"He was asked one more time where was President Obama born and he still wouldn't say Hawaii. He still wouldn't say America," Clinton said. "This man wants to be our next president? When will he stop this ugliness, this bigotry?"
The answer to her question came hours later when campaign spokesman Jason Miller issued a statement that suggested the question had been settled five years ago — by Trump.
"In 2011, Mr. Trump was finally able to bring this ugly incident to its conclusion by successfully compelling President Obama to release his birth certificate," Miller said.
"Mr. Trump did a great service to the president and the country by bringing closure to the issue that Hillary Clinton and her team first raised," he added. "Inarguably, Donald J. Trump is a closer. Having successfully obtained President Obama's birth certificate when others could not, Mr. Trump believes that President Obama was born in the United States."
Yet Trump repeatedly stoked the issue in the years since Obama released his birth certificate. In August 2012, he was pushing the issue on Twitter.
"An 'extremely credible source' has called my office and told me that @BarackObama's birth certificate is a fraud," he wrote.
Trump has said repeatedly during the campaign that he no longer talks about the "birther" issue while refusing to retract his previous comments.
"I don't talk about it because if I talk about that, your whole thing will be about that," he told reporters aboard his plane last week. "So I don't talk about it."
Trump's comments speculating on Obama's birthplace have been seen by many as an attempt to delegitimize the nation's first black president, and have turned off many of the African American voters he is now courting in his bid for the White House.
Miller's claim that Clinton launched the birther movement during her unsuccessful primary run against Obama in 2008 is unsubstantiated and long denied by Clinton. On Twitter, Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon did not address that allegation, but said that acceptance that Obama was born in the U.S. comes up short."Trump needs to say it himself. On camera. And admit he was wrong for trying to delegitimize the country's first African-American president," Fallon wrote.
Indeed, Trump himself has said that his aides shouldn't be trusted to speak on his behalf.
"Don't believe the biased and phony media quoting people who work for my campaign," he tweeted in May. "The only quote that matters is a quote from me!"

Tyree King, 13, Fatally Shot by Police in Columbus, Ohio
Police in Columbus, Ohio, were investigating how a 13-year-old boy wanted for questioning Wednesday night in an armed robbery ended up fatally shot by an officer.
The child — later identified by Columbus police as Tyree King — had "pulled a gun from his waistband" when officers attempted to take him and another male into custody, the Columbus Division of Police said in a statement. As the encounter unfolded, an officer shot King "multiple times."
The weapon recovered from the scene was determined to be a BB gun with an attached laser sight, Columbus Police Chief Kim Jacobs said at news conference Thursday morning. She showed a replica image of that BB gun.
"Our officers carry a gun that looks practically identical to this weapon," said Jacobs, adding, "It turns out not to be a firearm, but as you can see, it looks like a firearm that can kill you."
Police were first called to a report of a group of people — including one armed with a gun — demanding money at 7:42 p.m. ET.
Officers arriving at the scene saw three people matching the suspects' descriptions around a block away. However, when they attempted to speak with them, two of the males ran away, police said in a statement.
"Officers followed the males to the alley ... and attempted to take them into custody when one suspect pulled a gun from his waistband," police added. "One officer shot and struck the suspect multiple times."
King was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:22 p.m.
No one else was injured. The other male suspect was interviewed and later released pending further inquiries.
Area resident Chris Naderer told The Columbus Dispatch he heard a gate in his backyard get knocked down and then saw police chasing two young men in an alley outside of his home.
"Heard gun shots, five, 10 seconds afterwards," Naderer also told NBC affiliate WCMH.
As with all police-involved shootings, the officers will receive "mandated psychological support counseling" and be given the opportunity to "take leave time to assist in recovery from a traumatic experience," according to Columbus police.
The officer who fired the shots was later identified as Brian Mason, a nine-year veteran of the force who just recently transferred to the zone where the incident happened. He was being placed on administrative leave for about a week.
Jacobs said investigators are expected to pass their review onto a prosecutor and grand jury, which would determine whether any criminal charges are warranted against the officers involved.
It's unclear whether any surveillance or cellphone footage has been recovered showing the shooting.
Police also did not immediately say whether the officers involved were wearing body cameras. Last month, 30 Columbus cops began testing body-worn cameras and the department is expected to fully implement the devices by the end of the year, WCMH reported.
"You have to feel for the family in this and you also have to think about what the officer's going through," Columbus police Sgt. Rich Weiner told reporters late Wednesday. "There's no winners here."
King was last enrolled at Linden STEM Academy as an eighth grader, WCMH said.
The city of Columbus has seen 13 police-involved shootings this year. Five ended with a civilian being fatally shot, and one resulted in the death of the officer.
The incident in Columbus comes almost two years after 12-year-old Tamir Rice was shot dead by a police officer in Cleveland.
Rice, a black sixth-grade student, was holding a pellet gun when the officer shot him within two seconds of arriving at the scene.
His death sparked protests over policing and racial bias. Last December, a grand jury chose not to indict the two officers involved. In April, the city of Cleveland agreed to pay $6 million to settle a civil rights lawsuit brought by the Rice family.
Jacobs said it's too early to compare the shootings of King and Rice, although they both involve young black children carrying BB gun being fatally shot by white officers.
"We don't have enough facts to know anything how this relates to any other shooting, including Tamir Rice's," Jacobs said. "That's why we do an investigation."
Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther called for calm while the investigation continues, but he said the shooting raises concerns about access to weapons, including BB guns made to look like actual firearms.
"We as a community need to come to grips with the fact that with such easy access to guns — whether they're firearms or replicas — there's something wrong with this country," Ginther said, "and it's bringing this epidemic to our city streets."

Another Nigerian arrested in Morocco with 1.05kg of cocaine in his stomach
The Moroccan authorities on Friday, arrested a Nigerian national who was smuggling 1.05 kilograms of cocaine inside his stomach.
According to Moroccan Times, authorities said that the Nigerian man
raised suspicion because he did not look quite comfortable in their
presence. He was then taken to Casablanca’s Ibn Rush hospital, where he
was subjected to a surgery to remove the drugs from his stomach.
The suspect had just landed from a flight coming from Brazil when he was
arrested. An investigation was launched and he will stand soon before a
judge to defend himself against heavy drug trafficking charges.
