Football fans watching EPL killed in South Sudan bar shooting

At least 13 people have been killed and 14 others injured after a gunman opened fire on a crowd watching an English Premier League game near the town of Juba, South Sudan during the weekend
The gunman, who appeared drunk, grew angry after being refused free entry to the bar where patrons had paid roughly USD 0.50 each to watch the football match on television, and then started shooting at the football watchers.
As at Saturday, the death toll was 11, but Deputy police spokesman Kwacijwok Dominic Amondoc said on Monday the death toll had increased to 13, as two other people died from injuries sustained.
Amondoc also revealed that others were still being treated in hospital. An injured person, Wani Patrick, recovering from a bullet wound to his hand said:
“When I was shot I fell down and some youths fell on me. I was unable to stand up until he finished shooting all his bullets,”
“Many people were shot, many people died.”
The location of the shooter is still unclear with “investigations underway”, according to deputy government spokesman Paul Akol Kordit.
“It’s very unfortunate and we as a government condemn this in the very strongest terms possible,” said Kordit
Kordit also pledged that the government would “do what we can to protect our people and bring to book such people who are killing innocent lives with no reason at all”.

Beyonce Turns 35, and Fans Are Having One Big Love Fest for Her Birthday

Happy Bey Day! Beyonce turned 35 on Sunday, September 4, and her legions of fans took to social media in one big love fest to show their appreciation for the Lemonade singer.
It’s been a big year for Beyonce, who took home the Moonman for Video of the Year at the MTV VMAs on Sunday, August 28, in addition to six other wins that helped her make history as the artist with the most VMAs ever. (Madonna previously held the title with 20 Moonmen; Beyonce has 25.)
The superstar singer also owned the awards with her performance that night, a medley of songs off her latest album, Lemonade, which ended with a literal mic drop and arguably outshone performances by Rihanna, Britney Spears and Ariana Grande.
In February, Beyonce stunned the world with her riveting — and controversial — performance of hit “Formation” at the Super Bowl, followed several months later by the surprise release of her visual album Lemonade in April.
Her tell-all tracks alluded to marital troubles with husband Jay Z, causing fans to speculate about the state of the powerhouse couple’s relationship and seek out “Becky with the good hair.”
Most recently, however, the couple was spotted at the U.S. Open in NYC on Thursday, September 1, cheering on Serena Williams as she faced off against Vania King.
On Friday, Beyonce and her daughter Blue touched down in Frederick, Maryland, to spend the holiday weekend with First Lady Michelle Obama and the girls at Camp David.
