MediaTakeOut issues a public apology to Kim Kardashian for saying the Paris robbery incident was fake

After MediaTakeOut accused Kim Kardashian of faking the Paris robbery in several articles, Kim Kardashian and her legal team filed a libel lawsuit against them.

Yesterday Friday Oct. 14th, MediaTakeOut.com posted an apology letter online to Kim saying the robbery did really happen. The site's founder, Fred Mwangaguhunga, acknowledged that their reporting went too far. See the apology after the cut...
"Our number one goal is to produce the most accurate information as quickly as possible and we did that," Mwangaguhunga said.
"But now, looking back at it, you have a chance often times to look back and reflect on what it is that happened. It's now clear that she was robbed. It's clear that the reporting that we did hurt her, and we certainly don't want that to be what we do."
"After speaking to sources, including some connected to the Kardashians, and getting further details on the sequence of events – we are now confident and without a doubt believe that Kim Kardashian was robbed as was reported to the Paris police. Anyone who is still questioning it, is wrong.'
"We can understand how reports questioning if the robbery in fact took place can be hurtful, and so we apologize,''No one deserves to go through such a traumatic experience.
Kim is not just celebrity, she is a person, a wife and a mother – who in no way deserved what happened to her,
''We wish her the best as she emotionally recovers from the traumatic incident.'
Those articles have since been taken off the site.
"It's a bigger issue than just someone telling you to take it down," Fred Mwangaguhunga said. "Sometimes you take it down because there's something on there that's not right and your readers are being misled by the information on it."In regards to the lawsuit, Mwangaguhunga said he believes the lawsuit will be "resolved very soon."He also said that Kim Kardashian did not "deserve" to be at the center of this speculation.

Kim Kardashian gives glimpse of £3.5million diamond ring in carefree Vogue video filmed prior to Paris robbery

AN UNSEEN video released by Vogue has shown Kim Kardashian flashing her £3.5million ring before it was stolen in a horrifying robbery.
The reality TV star, 35, is seen part in a happy-go-lucky video where she answers some simple Would You Rather? questions.
This includes whether she’d want to be invisible or fly for a day (fly) and eat Chinese takeout or McDonalds (McDonalds).
But when she is asked whether she’d live without air conditioning in heat or the internet (air conditioning, of course), she uses her hand to explain and flashes her gigantic Lorraine Schwartz gem.
Vogue have only just released the video, which was filmed prior to her harrowing ordeal which saw a gang robbers steal her ring.
But Kim is unlikely to see her ring again.
Experts have said that the thieves who stole the ring will take great care in making sure that they are not traced back to the crime, and will likely get it re-cut by specialists.
A diamond gang’s first move is usually to flee the country where they struck and head to a location where cops are not searching for them.

Due to jewels’ small size, it’s almost impossible for border police to stop the items being taken abroad.
Diamond expert Fred Cuellar said: “Even with millions of Pounds of jewellery, we’re not talking about a wheelbarrow-sized amount of stones – more like a small box full of them. It’s very difficult to detect that.”
Kim's harrowing ordeal included her being tied up and left in the bath after robbers held a gun to her head.
The reality TV star had begged for her life and "feared she was about to be raped".
She managed to escape after wiggling free of her plastic handcuffs and screaming for help on her balcony.
Kim Kardashian finally returned to social media this week, but rather than post anything she went on a huge deleting spree.
On Wednesday, Kim appeared to pick a number of people she followed on the social networking site and deleted them.

Kim Kardashian Sues Website Over Claims She Faked Paris Robbery

Kim Kardashian isn't taking a gossip site's claim that she lied about her traumatic Paris robbery lightly. The reality star is suing mediatakeout.com and its owner Fred Mwangaguhunga for libel per se.
After having been the victim of a horrific and traumatic armed robbery in France, Kim Kardashian returned to the United States only to again be victimized, but this time by an online gossip tabloid that published a series of articles in early October 2016 referring to her a liar and thief," writes Kardashian attorney Andrew Brettler in a complaint filed Tuesday in New York federal court.
The articles claim she "faked the robbery, lied about the violent assault, and then filed a fraudulent claim with her insurance company to bilk her carrier out of millions of dollars," Brettler writes.
As public figures, stars typically face tougher bars in claiming defamation and libel, and usually have to show a publication printed a story with "actual malice" -- either knowing claims were false or acting with reckless disregard of the truth. Brettler says the site failed to identify or cite any credible sources and the publication of the articles were designed to cause maximum harm.
"Kardashian was assaulted and robbed by two masked men, who placed a gun to her head, duct-taped her hands, legs and mouth, and then left her lying helplessly on the bathroom floor of her rented apartment while the thieves absconded with millions of dollars in jewelry," Brettler writes. "As if that ordeal were not awful enough, Defendants made it worse by publishing on the Website, only hours after the assault, that Kardashian faked the robbery and then committed insurance fraud by filing a false claim with her carrier."
